SCOTT A. MCCASKILL, CFP® RFC®

Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®)

Registered Financial Consultant™ (RFC®) 

His primary focus is on our Assets Under Management (AUM) program, and he is actively involved with client service, investment research and portfolio management. Scott received his Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics at Norwich University and earned his designations of "Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)" through the College of Financial Planning and "Registered Financial Consultant (RFC®)" through American College.  His securities licenses include Series 24 (General Securities Principal), Series 31 (Futures Managed Funds Exam), 7 (General Securities Representative), 65 (Uniform Investment Advisor Law Exam), and 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Exam) and insurance licenses in life, health and long term care.

Scott is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC), Leadership Frederick County and is a Trustee for the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce.  He currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Frederick County Community Foundation, the Board of Advisors for the Mount St. Mary's School of Business and the City of Frederick Investment Committee. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Frederick County Humane Society acting as their Treasurer.

Scott has been recognized by Reuters as a “Top Advisor”, by Bloomberg as a “Top 100 Wealth Manager”, by the Daily Record as "Top 40 Maryland Professionals" and Frederick Magazine's "People To Watch".  He has been quoted in the Frederick News Post, the CFP Board Consumer Newsletter, Smart Company Magazine, Frederick Magazine and was a key speaker at the CFP Board Financial Planning Conference in Washington DC in September 2008.

Scott was also very honored to be able to present on financial planning topics at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC and believes firmly in giving back to our community and supporting our society.

LINDA DOYLE, Administrative Assistant

Linda joined McCaskill Financial as Administrative Assistant in September of 2011.  She is responsible for office management, accounting activities, client relations, scheduling, and preparation of materials for appointments.  She has an Associate Degree in Secretarial Science from Frederick Community College and comes to our office with over 20 years of office management experience.

She enjoys meeting and getting to know each of our clients and since she was previously employed by a special event company is always helpful with the planning and execution of our Client Appreciation events.  Her friendly demeanor makes her a welcome addition to our team.  Linda is a native to the area and proud to have been a member of the Frederick business community for over 30 years.

She lives just outside the city of Frederick with her husband Michael.  They are the parents of two grown sons, Matthew and Patrick. Matthew resides in Frederick with wife Jessie and daughter Aubrey. Patrick currently lives in Reston, VA

 

CINDY GORDONDirector of Operations

Cindy will be handling the operations side of the company, including portfolio construction, investment research and account implementation.  As well, she will handle client distribution requests, new account paperwork and account transfers.

Cindy was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Montgomery County, graduating from Winston Churchill High School in Potomac.  She went on to Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, where she earned her BA in sociology.  She currently resides in Germantown.

Working in financial services is Cindy's second career.  Out of college, she worked for the federal government at the Pentagon, then spent 25 years on Capitol Hill, working mainly for two California members of the House of Representatives, then spending her last two years on the Senate side working for Sen. Tom Daschle.

After leaving the Hill in 2000, Cindy has been working in the financial services industry for the past 14 years since.  She holds her FINRA Series 6 (Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative) securities license and is a licensed notary public.

Away from the office, Cindy is a volunteer at the Black Rock Center for the Arts in Germantown and serves as a Montgomery County Board of Elections closing judge.  She has two children, a daughter, Lindsey, who lives in Rockville and a son, Christopher, who lives in D.C.
