While retired from the day-to-day operations of McCaskill Financial, she has agreed to help advise the firm as part of our "Client Advisory Board". By now sitting on the "other side of the table", Cindy can provide a unique viewpoint from both the "client" and "advisor" standpoint. Prior to her retirement, Cindy handled the operations side of the company, including portfolio construction, investment research and account implementation. As well, she previously handled client distribution requests, new account paperwork and account transfers.
Cindy was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Montgomery County, graduating from Winston Churchill High School in Potomac. She went on to Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, where she earned her BA in sociology. She currently resides in Germantown.
Out of college, she worked for the federal government at the Pentagon, then spent 25 years on Capitol Hill, working mainly for two California members of the House of Representatives, then spending her last two years on the Senate side working for Sen. Tom Daschle. After leaving the Hill in 2000, Cindy has been working in the financial services industry for the past 14 years since. She holds her FINRA Series 6 (Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative) securities license and is a licensed notary public.
Away from the office, Cindy is a volunteer at the Black Rock Center for the Arts in Germantown and serves as a Montgomery County Board of Elections closing judge. She has two children, a daughter, Lindsey, who lives in Rockville and a son, Christopher, who lives in D.C.
